Introducing the Farleygreene Gallery Lifter: a smarter, safer way to maintain large industrial sieves

18th August, 2025

The new industrial sieve gallery lifter from Farleygreene – designed to make large sieve maintenance simpler, safer and faster.

In high-hygiene manufacturing environments, regular inspection and cleaning of industrial sieving equipment is essential – not just for compliance, but for product integrity and operational efficiency. However, when it comes to larger sieves, one challenge has remained constant: lifting the gallery (lid) safely and efficiently.

At Farleygreene, we’ve developed a solution that transforms this process. Meet the Gallery Lifter – a new addition to our auxiliary equipment range, designed to make maintenance of large industrial sieve machines safer, faster, and achievable by a single operator.

The problem: manual lifting risks and inefficiencies

Traditionally, lifting the gallery of a large sieve requires a team of four or more people. The weight and shape of the lid make it awkward and potentially hazardous to handle, especially in cleanroom environments where space is limited and hygiene is critical. This not only slows down maintenance but also increases the risk of injury and contamination.

The solution: one operator, total control

The Farleygreene industrial sieve Gallery Lifter is engineered to eliminate these challenges. It features a boom arm mounted to a vertical pillar, connected to a pneumatic cylinder. A manual control lever allows the operator to raise the gallery smoothly and swing it to the side, exposing the mesh for inspection, cleaning, or disassembly—all without needing additional personnel.

The gallery is attached via integrated lifting points, ensuring a secure and stable lift every time. Once lifted, the gallery can be safely rotated out of the way, giving full access to the sieve interior.

Designed for the Sievmaster® Slimline Range

This lifting system has been purpose-built for use with our Sievmaster® Slimline 950, 1250, and 1550 models. It supports both gravity and pressure variants of the 950 and 1250, with a version for the 1550 currently in final development.

Whether you’re operating in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing, the Gallery Lifter is designed to integrate seamlessly into your workflow, enhancing safety without compromising hygiene.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

1. What is an industrial sieve gallery lifter?
It’s a mechanical lifting device designed to safely raise and move the gallery (lid) of large industrial sieves, enabling single-operator maintenance without manual strain.

2. Which sieve models is the industrial sieve gallery lifter compatible with?
It’s designed for the Sievmaster® Slimline 950, 1250, and 1550 models, supporting both gravity and pressure variants of the 950 and 1250.

3. How does the industrial sieve gallery lifter improve safety?
By eliminating the need for multiple operators to manually lift the heavy and awkward gallery, it reduces the risk of strain injuries and accidents.

4. Can the gallery lifter be retrofitted to existing sieves?
Yes, in most cases it can be installed on compatible existing models. Our team can confirm fit and compatibility.

5. Is the industrial sieve gallery lifter suitable for cleanroom environments?
Yes. It’s designed for use in high-hygiene industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing, with a focus on easy cleaning and compliance.
